Frost the snowman engine

You first have to drink frosty the cold one.

Then yes, many of the earlier RF only Lionchief- they do not support bluetooth and that protocol does not always play well with the universal remote.

Also worth asking, have you both read the older incompatible list- and in the same page- updated your universal remote to the latest firmware to improve the number of engines it might be compatible with?

Ok the universal remote is updated but still doesn't connect ... before i try buying the specific remote, does anyone know if the frosty the snowman engine should make the chirping/beeping sound when the remote is off?

That leaves only one conclusion, the board went bad, not an uncommon thing and will need to be replaced. They all chirp when the remote is off.

NO- early RF only Lionchief engines do not do the beep when not connected. They begin playing background sounds normally as soon as power is applied.

At the end of the day- we always end up at- Your Train, Your Wallet, Your Railroad.

You could by either the Lionchief board or the remote or both as your repair plan.

ok thanks...i guess if i try the remote first and it fails then the board will be an extra 10 bucks to ship... i just wonder why it wouldn't be listed if the universal remote did not work...

Flip a coin maybe to see if i just buy both and then have that frosty cold one like you suggested
