I purchased on the Bay the G.N. O-1 No Box, who brought this beautiful factory paint loco in. Any help identifying this loco will be appreciated.
Most likely Sunset/3rd Rail, as they offered GN O-8 models, then later offered a limited number of O-1 models, or were they O-7 models. Can't remember the details.
Sunset offered O-8’s and O-7’s. (The O-8’s were built from O-7’s. The O-7’s were built from M class 2-6-8-0’s. So, Sunset had a lot they could re-use in offering all three models.
Yes, Oriental did import O8 Mikes + N3 2-8-8-0's and R2 2-8-8-2's. Superb models. Either Oriental or Overland did a GN 4-6-2, also. PFM did an E6 4-6-0.
