Hi everyone I am working on a track plan and needed to know the measurements tie-to-tie, of the gantry track to make sure I had enough room. Thanks!

I'm not at home right now but I will measure mine tonight and get back to you Thursday if no one chimes in by then.

If you are referring to the distance rail to rail for the wheels of the Gantry Crane, on page 4 of the manual for the crane it states that the rails should be 4 1/2" apart. If you're looking for the end to end length of the ties on the Gargraves track I do not know but would take a guess that they do not extend more that 1/2" beyond the outside rails.

Hope this helps.

I just took my Gargraves gantry crane track upstairs to measure -- the tie width is 5-3/8"; the uncut rail length is 37-1/4"; the 2 gantry rails are 4-9/16" center-to-center.
Hope that Lionel finally delivers these Legacy moving Gantry Cranes & Sound sheds in November 2016 (which I think is the latest delivery forecasted??)
Hope that helps!!!

Thanks Carl! This helped a lot.
For a little added info, the Ross track is - rails = 4-9/16" center to center, ties = 6-1/4" wide and rails are 29-3/8" end to end (no pins). I am also hoping the gantry cranes are delivered soon. It's been almost 2 years since mine was ordered.
I had a post war Gantry Crane two layouts back. It was my favorite thing on the layout. Don
