Recently installed a pair of gargraves switches on my layout. One switch operates perfectly but the other switch does not. It seems to hang up when closing toward me. Pressing the switch button multiple times does nothing. It is annoying as I have to manually reset switch to closed position and try again. I know its hooked right as I matched the connections to the good switch.....any solutions available out there?????? Thanks in advance for any help.......Joe

I have many Gargraves switches on my layout. Was this a new switch or a used one? If used, there were many variations of the switches Gargraves offered. In either case, a picture of the switch would help. Did the switches come with the motors or have you installed them after you put the switches in? A little more info will help. Bill
This were brand new switches that came with motors attached ...Thanks Bill for the interest on my troubles....
Does it seem to be mechanical or electrical? If you can, you could remove the motor and linkage and see if its hanging up anywhere, if its seems to be mechanical. I would also talk with Gargraves and they just may replace it for you. You want to be sure you have it working right if you intend to ballast your track. Bill
Thanks Bill ... I will try to isolate the problem and reach out to Gargraves....Stay safe....Joe
Some powdered graphite lube can help "sticking" switch points if that is indeed the problem. Put some on the areas that rub each other. Being dry, graphite makes no mess - well, not the oily kind, anyway.
