I recently picked up a RailKing Genesis Diesel - With Proto - Amtrak Cab No. 805
Product Number: 30-2160. It was first issued in 1999. The front coupler shows sign of a poor casting. Was there an issue with these couplers; The coupler on the other end is of a newer type, and I am wondering if there was a replacement program.
Those are standard PS1 electrocouplers on that model, so it's not a big deal to replace them. I have two of them, and neither has any issues with the couplers.
