Has anyone got any info on these? Amtrak is usually a hard sell, I'm guessing these are a no-go. These extended trial balloons can make it hard to budget expenditures...

Last report was 3rd Rail was almost there for the minimum amount of reservations to be made.

You generally have at least a year from the announcement for reservations (not pie-in-the-sky) until delivery. Should be enough time to arrange for the sale of a child to finance what you want 
I ordered 5 cars but sure would like the Lakeshore Limited consist.
As I've stated before, if Scott would offer the in the current Phase IVb or V scheme, they would easily get the necessary orders to bring this project to life. @sdmann I would place an order if this scheme were offered.
I recently more than doubled my order. Hopefully they are getting closer. Especially now that Scott Mann said that smaller batches are possible.
I asked Scott about the Northeast Regional scheme. I know he had talked to a potential extruded aluminum builder so I sent some information on the difference between Amfleet I and IIs hoping it could decrease cost, be able to do both styles and increase his numbers. Keep placing reservations and it will happen.
