GGD Painted / Plastic / Brass / Aluminum all very uniform and metallic in appearance.
And The Real One, Stainless.
They look great. I am happy with this finish being used on the Amfleet cars. I am not advocating the use of plating like MTH used. I do like the cars with the plated look but it is not exactly the look of stainless steel either. In some lighting they can look a little bit bronze. I have confidence in GGD producing exceptionally great Amfleet I cars.
I have seen the new reissue of the MTH Budd built R11s and the new R32 subway cars. Looks like they have figured out how to do stainless steel pretty good. It apparently can be done.

Not to change the topic but do you remember what route the R11's are signed up for? I'm thinking about getting a set... thanks!
Sorry, I don't. But after seeing the MTH plated Amfleet cars, the new R11s, and the new R32s, MTH is clearly at this moment producing plated cars that represent stainless steel better than anyone else. If they can do it.....
