Here at the factory again checking on production and planning new projects. Here's what's happening.
1. The factory wants to order parts for the GN Empire Builder Cars. So we will be closing reservations in a matter of days. Along with the standard cars we are also producing a Budd Dome Coach (Part of the 8 Car Set) and Budd Full Length Great Dome Lounge in Brass. The Great Dome is also being made in SF, which is a different body style. SF also had these painted NS. Only making a few of those. The GN version is being painted in Amtrak as well.

Look for these cars to arrive in October. They aren't cheap and they are very difficult and expensive to make. But there will be nothing as accurate or beautiful in my opinion. Each axle has ball bearing in the journals. It's going to fantastic.
2. Currently the factories are producing 3 projects simultaneously. First the CB&Q O1a is done NOW, the EMD F7 Rerun is finishing next week, and the O Scale Harriman cars are completed the week after. All will be arriving together in August.
3. We have finished the design details for the ALCO PAs. If you have any concerns about your order please email me for details. Look for the PAs to arrive in November of this year. Once we start, we have to close reservations. So don't delay in getting in your last minute order.
4. The T&P and CGW 2-10-4 design is nearly complete. I don't think we have made a model with more detail than this one. All Brass, super detailed and painted in a variety of liveries. And yes, we will get the Grey/Green boiler color right. We have lots of assistance with this. Look for this monster to arrive in late 2017.
5. The Sunset Limited is probably going to be delivered by the end of this year as well. It is in production mode now. This factory has made The Canadian and PRR Congressional cars in the past. Good quality but slower to deliver.
6. E89 Second Run: Well I said 82 and the factory said 100, so reservations are back open again. Sigh... Anyone interested please get your order in ASAP. They will start on these immediately. They will probably deliver the 2nd Run along with the Empire Builder in September / October.
7. E6s announced and taking reservations.
8. SD40-2: Just not enough reservations to start this project. We don't cancel projects, but will keep your reservations for a future release. Looking to announce some new things this fall.
9. Starting work on the Rock Island Rocket. Looks like the engine (TA Diesel) will be a brass body model. The cars will be Aluminum. We will be breaking this project up into the Rock Island Rocket, Peoria Rocket, The Des Moines Rocket, Rocky Mountain Rocket, The Kansas City Rocket and Texas Rocket Sets. Look for changes to the web site for reservations.
