Well John, I am somewhat disappointed to see the road name is spelled
P E N N S Y L V A N I A.
According to the sample models it was to be spelled P E N N S Y Y L V A N I A.
Still waiting for the 'experts' but as a novice, I must say they are quite handsome. Your scene here is really nice - great collection of automobiles!
John,
surely you have a Tuscan GG1 to haul it with? Mambo with the Congo!
Looks great John. And at a price that years ago we would have not believed for a finished O scale passenger car.

Nice stuff! When are you guys going to host the next OSN? I missed your layout in the tours during the last one.
An exceptional model for sure. Enjoy those...
Come on John. Hook up the MTH F's to them and show us. If the critics get too loud, tell them they're mine, just running through!
Very nice!
Warning tangent from the congo topic.
Joe, I must admit the MTH version of the PRR F-7s are a bit ugly out of the box. And I am assuming John has them up on his madsci bench. Looks like major changes are involved to make em look like the units pictured below. I have all three of mine disassembled on the workbench. I need to get a pair of new pilots, I have plastic steps from PSC which I am going to body mount. I have to move all the side frames closer to the wheels on the truck. The number boards are plastic castings which can be removed from the body, not sure how much is involved with that for new smaller ones, with replacements from P&D. The big tether is ridiculous and must disappear.
I mainly model Modern era but I do have a liking for old PRR stuff and they don't have to be era specific.
I am with Ed - these are a stunning value, and way beyond anything I had hoped for twenty years ago. Too bad I am overstocked with Mac Shops cars. The Sunset extrusion fits in quite well with my Mac and K-Line Budd cars.
I really like those window frames. Has that ever been done in O Scale before?
john, what type of track are you using.
those cars are
Hey guys, yes GGD did a really good job on these. I am very happy with them. All the more so when you consider the price point. I got 12 cars, one of which is already destined go to a worthy cause, as I can only fit 11 on my storage siding
Pete: I use Atlas track
Bob Heil: I share your outrage that GGD spelled Pennsylvania properly. I was up for a guaranteed-to-rapidly-escalate-in-value factory error.
Chris: Of course I have a Tuscan G to pull these. Two of them, as a matter of fact. But one has been on a shelf as family memorabilia (its my first O Scale locomotive)
Mike: All over those mods, plus a few more. Think sapphire discs
Speaking of price point, I see them at auction beginning at $230. I thought that was close to the high dealer price.
Come on John. Hook up the MTH F's to them and show us. If the critics get too loud, tell them they're mine, just running through!
Very nice!
Joe,
Gotta have an E7 or E8 for that! PRR F's had NO steam generators for passenger service.
