I see Atlas wanted money up front for the Spike 8-40CW with flag. I find it a bit unusual that we are putting money up front. Haven't seen any other manufacturer do that before. First it was in the hobby shop, then we had to preorder it, now we order and pay. What next, we go to China and help make it. No, seriously, where is this going? Are times at Atlas getting difficult because I don't want to put my money up and wait a year and a half on any product. a time line that is becoming to familiar with some of these importers. Bring back the manfacturing to this country. Lucky me that I have settled into the 70's and 80's and the flag is 2002 so I don't have an issue here but possibly in the future if this trend bloosums.

Atlas O's Golden Spike offerings Always required up front payment at these cars/locos are made to order. NOthing different than Lionel RR club and the MTH RR club. Where have you been or did you just came to the realization of this? As with many of the clubs, Only the one car comes with your membership. All the other offerings are extra.
