The Greenberg Show rolls in to Edison, NJ this weekend, Nov. 26-27 in the Raritan Center Expo Center. Hours for both days are 10am to 4pm.

The Command Control demo group will be present there operating DCS, Remote commander, MTH Wifi, TMCC and Legacy on fastrack layouts. Joining me will be Steve Musso, Ernie Emrich and Joe Mania of JLM Trains.

Since I am a member of the Ocean County Society of Model Railroaders, www.ocsmr.com , I will have brochures about our club that recently moved and is in the process of re-building an HO and an O gauge layouts. See our progress under a separate topic under the announcement section here.

If you attend, stop by and say hello.

Thanks, Ted

Hay Ted,

It's John from the Raritan Valley Hi-Railers. Our group will be there also, so I hope you didn't mind me "stealing some of your thunder". Folks the Command Control demo group is worth checking out, these guy's know there stuff.

John,

Not a problem with you adding the Raritan Hi-Railers' 3cents about the show the huge modular layout your group sets up there. Same goes about the Independent Hi-Railers' huge layout. 2 very large modular layouts set up there by both groups.

Yes, any of you in either group are welcomed anytime to our club. A lot of work that has been done and plenty to do.

I've only been a member of the TCA since last Spring.  I was wondering if there are any perks for TCA members at the Edison Train Meet this weekend.

TCA membership assures that you don't pay higher admission to the show than the general public

Why would anyone pay higher admission than the general public.  Is there another public we don't know about.

Okay, just returned from the show/meet.  I went just to have a look at the displays and buy anything that looked like I might need it.  The displays were not a numerous as in previous shows, although one display had some nice looking MTH Pennsy locos sitting on sidings, panting away while the main lines had some steam and diesel running.

I wound up with a Pennsy tee shirt, pack of Bachmann metal wheels from Star Hobby at a good price and a set of Italian made flush cutting nippers, something I have been needing.

As i was leaving there were three black SUVs, motors running, drivers present, with Maryland plates, sitting out front.  Must have been some big shot from Washington at the show.

I went both days because I didn't get a chance to get a good look at the display layouts yesterday. I didn't realize The Independent Hi-Railers were there as they were kind of hidden behind a black curtain. I enjoyed seeing the display layouts. They were all well done and I especially liked seeing the prototype speeder and finding out information on how these unique motorized units were used by the real railroads. It was a good show.

I went Saturday.  Overheard one vendor saying he was having his best show in years.  There were deals to be had, box of ten three foot gg track for ten dollars, used but in good shape.  The guy had six boxes.  One dollar per three feet was a steal. Three different folks had used Ross turnouts in the 20-30 dollar range.  If I were building these were great deals.  The guy with the DO it yourself ride on train had an interesting idea.  I am going to bring this to the local cub scouts.
