Greenberg Show, Oaks, Pa.

Hello! This is my first post on the forum. My wife and I attended. I'm kicking around the idea of building an O gauge layout so we attended to start getting ideas. We're from Berks County. Seemed like a good show with lots of friendly people.

Wife ans I went to the show. Picked up Santa Fe F3 set ABA ps3. Show was well attended we think. Oh we are from Berks county also.

I was there with my four year old son. We had a nice time and enjoyed the layouts. I didn't get anything, but my son got a few toys. I have now gotten to the point where I have some things that I want and I won't splurg or impulse buy. I was hoping to see some more cottage industry type vendors.  

I want to add that I missed out on a nice Lionel Pennsy N5c caboose with radio antenna roof railing.  I just took too long getting back to that table.  There was a nice set of 2343 F3s, but couldn't locate the vendor for a price.  Went back and he still was AWOL.  Oddly, in my mind at least, the Lionel milk cars and operating horse or cattle cars that I saw on many tables were priced higher than anything I have seen on eBay lately.   

So all of you passed on Trainstock for a Greenburg show???  Sheesh....

I was there, only grabbed a few things. Picked up 3 pre-war pieces. I actually have all of them already, but these were in nicer shape and really cheap. Also got a couple of 6464 remakes, just because I like the way they look. Don't buy many diecast cars anymore, but some of those Greenlight cars are pretty sweet, so I snatched a few of them. 

 That was my first Greenberg show in Oaks, and I wasn't in love with the hall. I've been to other events there, but I guess I was in other halls. Just seemed too cramped, and too short on facilities for the crowd that was there. Still miss Pennsauken and Fort Washington.

How was the parking? Tight and long waits as usual?

I live in Fort Washington and sorely miss the Greenberg show here.  The hall was nicer than the one in Oaks.  The toilet facilities in Oaks is pathetic, at best.  The snack bar is equally lacking.  Hardly a place to sit and eat your overpriced hot dog.

Once again we parked in the wrong spot.  Walked what seemed like forever to get around to hall C.  I guess my memory is slipping.  

That said, it's still a better location than The Valley Forge Convention Center.  Another place with a parking lot that makes no sense.  The hall itself is dreary.  I've been to home shows there and each time it's a let down.
