This may seem a bit unusual.  I have my 4x8 board covered with a medium/heavy gauge sheet of plastic that overlaps the board on all sides.  It is presently supported by dowel rods I've attached to the sides of the board, and by a tall Douglas fir in the midddle of the board which sometimes stays upright and other times does not.

I'm thinking of a way to drape the board, and be able to raise and lower the plastic so that nothing on the board is dislodged when I remove the plastic sheet.

I have a suspended ceiling (tiles).  Can anyone with engineering skills, which I have none of, think of a way to install hooks in the ceiling, attached to the plastic sheet, with some kind of crank where I can raise and lower the plastic sheet?

This would definitely be a unique weekend project.

Thanks.
