To my OGR friends: I was introduced to the world of TRAINS by my grandfather at an early age...... Prototype Southern Pacific and Western Pacific trains; Interurban trains of the Key System and Sacramento Northern; Streetcars of the Key System and SF Muni; the massive O-gauge and HO-layouts of the Eastbay Model Engineers Society; and Live Steam trains of the Golden Gate Live Steamers as well as the live steam empire in 1/2-inch scale running around the basement in the old Victorian house in Oakland, CA where I was brought up so many, many years ago !! I could NOT escape this hobby !! In one of my favorite photos of ME and my grandfather taken about 1949, that brings back so many memories, I wish all of my OGR friends and their families, a most Happy New Year in 2016 !
