I've met a lot of great people on here over the years. A lot. I recently had Pat put a Pitman motor in my 773 (6-38096) and I can't wait to run it this weekend.
I'm not sure how it even started, but I think I've emailed Pat almost as many car questions as train questions over the last year or so. My dad, who is a private pilot, toy train person and classic/antique car enthusiast, once told me that car guys are generally really great guys. I know, there are exceptions to every rule. But today, I called Pat and asked him about tuning carburetors. He spent about 10-15 mins on the phone explaining away. In a world of WIIFM (What In It For Me), Pat is a throwback of sorts and I'm so thankful to have gotten to know him on here. Yes, he does excellent, precision work, but he might just be a better guy and I would rather have it that way.
Thanks for everything, Pat!
