Guys I will be heading up to Harrisburg, PA this weekend. Any good train stores that have a good selection of MTH and Lionel for me to hit up?

Thanks

David

David,

The Station in New Cumberland, PA is a great location to go if you get the chance. Dick and Dee Dee are great people and run a fantastic small business with an excellent selection of both Lionel and MTH. If you are looking for something that they don't have in stock they will most certainly find one for you and have it shipped.

They are located on 9th street in New Cumberland, PA. If you can get there I would highly recommend getting there around 11 am since they tend to close a little earlier on the summer days (like around 3 pm).

Have fun and tell them I sent you!

The Station is just across the river in New Cumberland.   Small shop but has a decent collection of O gauge.

Cool Trains is a larger store 30 minutes from Harrisburg south on I-283.  Bigger selection of O gauge plus sells used equipment from collections.   Good prices.

B&E Junction is 30 minutes away in downtown York.  Large selection of O gauge but all at list price or higher.

I like cool trains and visit there with some regularity.  I would have voted for Barry's in Elizabethtown as it is much closer to Harrisburg, but unfortunately he has gone internet only to sell his remaining stock and closed the brick and mortar store, to the best of my knowledge.

I would have mentioned Barry's in Elizabethtown as well! Barry was a great guy but unfortunate health issues and age have caught up with him badly. He chose to take his health over his business and I commend him for that tough decision!

If you choose to drive south to York PA you could call Len Deichman.  It is probably an hour ride south on I83 and then west on US 222.

He has a very nice selection and is an upright Gentleman.
