So, I have two 2531's, and I was thinking that, when I build my layout, it would be easier to do switching and taking the coaches out of the terminal if the observation had a rear coupler, has anyone attempted this? Please, if you have, could you post a picture of how it turned out and explain the process? It would really be helpful and would make switching a lot easier. (Edit sorry for the mistype, I was in a hurry and posted it without a re-read)

2531, and I have not seen it done.....but it probably could be with some engineering.

Yeah sorry about that it was a mistype, 2531

And yeah, I figured it was a long shot since you'd probably have to mod the rear end of the car. Since they're in nice shape I won't do it to them, but if I find one that needs repairs, I may give it a go.
If I was to try such a project, I would try to modify the rear skirt with a 2333 dummy rear coupler and it's swivel brackets. You can buy all the parts separately, and build it on your work bench and change it out easily with the original one.
I remembered someone asking about this a few months ago...
