I've been trying to use a momentary toggle switch with the Ross switches that have the DZ2500 switch motor, instead of the provided button. (Functions perfect in one direction only, anyone having success with both directions?)

How many terminals are there on the switch? There should be 3, an SPDT momentary in both directions with a center off. If there are only 2 terminals then you will need two switches, one for each direction.
Don,
The DZ2500s come setup for one wire operation. See the instructions to set to two wire operation.
Elliot,
If I am understanding the operation correctly the DZ 2502 which only has one button, when activated causes the switch motor to change positions, regardless of the current position. IF that is correct only one set of contacts would be used from a SPST toggle switch. (3 contacts on the toggle, but using only 2 contacts. The center and one of the end contacts).
I have it wired as follows:
Power 18v + to the center contact of the toggle
White wire from the Z2500 motor to the other contact of the toggle (end contact)
Ground or 18v - to Black wire of Switch motor
I am inserting Bicolor LED's on the Control Panel in the relative track positions, therefore;
Ground is also wired to the LED with a current limiting resistor,
Then the green wire from the motor is also connected to the appropriate leg of the LED, and the corresponding Yellow wire is connected to the other leg of the LED.
Note: IF I connect the DZ2502 it all works great.
I certainly can be wrong!!! But the other sets of contacts on the toggle switch, dont see how they would be connected. What would you suggest?
Thank you!!
CAP - Just read your post, off to check that out!!
CAP - That looks like it will work, the application I am working does not have a DCS capability, But the blue wire may be the resolution! The toggle would function the same as the AIU relay. Will go and check that out!!! Back in a couple of hours.
Resolved the problem.......
As a result of following recommendation from CAPP, I went back and checked the "2 wire operation" diagram on the Instruction Sheet.....
This is how I had the toggle switch wired......
Center pole of switch to 18v +
1 End contact to white wire from the 2500 Switch motor
Other end contact not used. (toggle only did any thing in one direction, not good but not too bad)
As a RESULT of reviewing the two wire operation diagram, realized that the Center pole of the toggle switch SHOULD BE 18v -
Changed the center pole to (-)
1 End contact to white wire from the 2500 Switch motor (no change)
Other end contact connected to "Blue" wire.
Result: Everything operated GREAT, however when the toggle was switched to the Blue wire, nothing happened. Removed Blue wire from toggle no difference in result, 1 position operation, BUT it worked well! Changed directions EVERYTIME switch was activated.
THEN connected a jumper between the two end contacts of the toggle and of course the DZ2500 responded to either direction. This of course electrically is not doing anything different. BUT makes the operator THINK that one direction of the toggle moves the switch IN and the other direction moves the switch OUT. Eliminates a lot of questions as to WHY does the toggle switch only work in one direction.
I'M A HAPPY CAMPER!!!! THANKS GUYS !!!!
CONCLUSION:
I HAD THE WRONG THING CONNECTED TO THE CENTER POLE OF THE TOGGLE SWITCH!
