And it is just the beginning.
But there is no room for trains with the relocation to Florida.

I'd hate to see them go, too. Gorgeous, matching set.
On the other hand, Florida . . .
WHAT? There is always room... put them on display on some selves...
Bet it hurts but hey Florida, Enjoy yourself Charlie and Good Luck,
Best of luck to you in your move, Charlie. Hope you will stay active on the Forum.
No room for trains Charlie? Say it isn't so! I have always enjoyed the videos and still images of your layout.
Best wishes on your move, Charlie. I lived in FL for a couple years and my trains stayed in storage. But you can't beat the weather this time of year.

Where did they "go"?
Charlie, I'm in the same position that you are in. It's a tough decision, you can try to use a spare bedroom. I also know of a house that you can buy that has a layout included. It's in Venice.

And here I am in Florida, wanting to move to Kentucky. North. Just need to find someone to buy my house. One thing, no basements here.
Our house is for sale as we are moving further south to Miami. PLENTY of spare bedrooms and garages for trains. Our NY friends hate us - today it's 16 degrees up there and 81 here in Port Charlotte.
Charlie...say it isn't so!!! Surely you have room somewhere??? If you are selling, let me know as I may be interested in owning something you owned!!

Doug, I did not know you moving to Florida. I asked my wife and she does not want to move. We will be in Florida to visit some friends soon and we always get the sales talk.
I'm here in southeast Florida in West Palm Beach, it's beautiful here today, no rain maybe some rain on Friday. Only problem is that you might have to get some moisture resistant track like stainless steel.
There is plenty to do down here in Florida besides beet off the gators and swat mosquitoes. LOL!
Let us know where in Florida and maybe somebody can refer you to a nice hobby shop.
If I was able I'd like to help you with buying an engine from you but I am working only part time.

Yikes.....good luck Charlie.....shame to have to sell off your stuff. We just heard from my wife's college roommate who is living in "The Village of Poinciana". She sent me a clipping from the local paper there about a huge Model RR Club....The Villages Railroad Historical Society. They have 150 members in every scale....Z, N, HO, S, O, G. Perhaps you will find other like minded modelers where you live. Just because you're living in paradise, you shouldn't have to dump all your toys!......just sayin'.....
This winter certainly reinforced your decision. Hey, they are only trains. There's more out there if you really miss them.

Good luck Charlie
Hope it all works out for you
