New Paint LIRR Paint Scheme For O Scale! You have probably seen this around the rails of Long Island!

No, I haven't.
While it's impossible to prove a negative, the evidence seems not to exist that those are real.
See page 72 of "Diesels of the Sunrise Trail" by John J. Scala, ISBN- 0-9612814-0-5
See the website Alco "FA" Locomotives (american-rails.com). Scroll to the box where the owners of FA-2 locomotives are listed.
The paint job seems to be a fantasy. While photos of 613 and 614 are not to be found, sisters 605, 606 and 617 are painted in medium blue with a wide white strip from front to back. See color photos on pages 64, 66 and 125 ibid.
By the time #613 and #614 were on the LIRR roster, having been adopted from the BN, they had been eviscerated and made into power cars and pushers.
It is unlikely that they appeared as an AA MU set.
You seem to have answered your own question: See the advertisement from your own website: "... we've taken a few liberties in this release and added a few "what if" passenger and freight versions in some of our favorite paint schemes." ($999.99 for the set)
But I could be wrong.
There were a couple -
I guess it will appeal to some younger folks. Problem is no one ever made the proper commuter cars to run with LI power offerings. K-line 60’ dual door cars were kind of close but still incorrect. Now if you could get Lionel to shorten these to 60’ for most O operators, you would sell a ton of them. Link –https://i.pinimg.com/736x/4c/8...bb12ad5--coaches.jpg

Nice attempt, hope you sell some!
@Arthur P. Bloom check this link out as well paint scheme is more from the 90s.

I don't think anyone has done this in O scale before and we tried to pick the most closely related existing mold we could find to do it. Sounds should be passenger the description is generic to all FA units. We went with a doubleheader because it was actually more price effective than getting one done from Lionel. For 2-300 more, you get an additional unit that you can run in conventional or put in the yard.
@SIRT maybe one day! MTH made a similar paint scheme for some passenger cars albeit might not be quite what you're looking for.
I stand corrected.
So, your description that it's a fantasy scheme is incorrect. It's real.
Is the thousand-dollar price a fantasy?
Art, Sorry if I offended you or if you are offended by this product offering.
Once again, the description is the general Lionel description for all FA units. If you read the next line you can see Lionel clarify that there are prototypical versions in their most recent FA batch. "Of course, you'll find prototypical paint schemes as well including Erie Lackawanna and Louisville and Nashville units complete with Hancock air whistles." We will of course edit this information to make it road name specific as it seems to have frustrated you. Again, Lionel uses a blanket description for all similar engines.
On the price, yes 999.99 is a lot of money regardless of what you purchase. However, you are receiving 2 powered units and the general O scale diesel price on a single unit can range depending on detail and type from 400-800. So, while I appreciate your feedback, I think "fantasy" is a bit of a reach as we already have many preorders on the unit. The list price on all Lionel FA AAs is $1099.99, TrainWorld does not make the Lionel list price so you can refer to a manufacturer on the MSRP and what was involved in the price of the tooling.
Ken - Keep the exclusive products coming. I appreciate all of the unique items that you have to offer and all that you and TW are doing to promote the hobby and keep it interesting.
Thanks buddy!
You can always count on some to criticize. And when shown to be wrong, to offer another criticism. I’m not a TW partisan, but I appreciate the effort they and others make to bring new offerings to those who are interested. Thanks
Have you seen it on the rails?
Nope
Ah for a string of ping pongs
