Thanks Chris! I got some weathering Chaulk from Dennis Brennan. He gave me some tips, however, executing is a different story ,LoL.

After speaking with Dennis Brennan this morning from Brennans Model Railing, I got more tips from the master. The Hellgate Pirs are officially redone.

Very nice job, Joe. Could you tell me how tall the piers are??? I have one of the Lionel repro Hellgate bridges which I am trying to fit in my layout and I’m going to need to add some height one way or another. Thanks.

Hi Paul. Sure, they are 12" high. I notched the top center so that the mating Plywood would have a connection point and support with bracket

The 12" height matches tunnel top height and will also match Trestle height when completed.

Finally working on a permanent layout, in a small space. Building holiday layouts only in the past. As you know, this is a different animal. Always wanted an elevated Hellgate, just could not agree with that voice in my head! Lol

Joe, these piers look great. I'm currently working on an elevated line and plan on using my HGB on it. Do you mind if I borrow your design? My elevated line is only 8" high.
