I am adding TMCC to my DCS controlled layout. My railroad has a single track 64 ft long main line with passing sidings on which I run as many as 3 PS2 / PS3 trains simultaneously. Can I run an MTH PS2 or PS3 locomotive with a Lionel TMCC locomotive on the same track simultaneously?
Sure- DCS is a high frequency digital signal that follows in parallel on the power wires to the track. TMCC is a low frequency radio signal that is also using the track as part of the antenna system. Both signals can coexist.
Simply connect the 1 wire from your TMCC or Legacy base system to the outer rail or common of your track system or anywhere in the power system.
