Hey folks:

Well, after a month or two of inaction, I finally loaded the command modules of three of my four legacy locos  into my 990. Very impressed and very happy...but... My fourth, the Celebration series DRG-W F3 has suddenly acted like it had a frontal lobotomy. Not sure what's up, but it seems to be picking up my 990's signal, but running erratically, with no train sounds fromt the B-unit either. It ran fine *until* I started loading up the other locos. Now it acts dumb (and runs very erratically). I couldn't find the little thumb module for it to reprogram. Any thoughts? Can I get a replacement from Lionel? Can you manually program it? The 990 came with four of these suckers, but I'm not sure if I can use them? Help! The F3 is one of my favorites and I don't want to keep it out of revenue service for too long. (BTW- I'm totally convinced. Legacy is De Bomb! Never going back to conventional control- never!) Thanks in advance for any advice!

L&N,

You don't need the module to reprogram the loco. You can erase the profile from

your handheld and enter the loco manually. Not sure why your loco is acting funny. You said that it responds while your controlling another loco...did you accidently create a "lash up" or assign both loco's with the same ID number....I had a similar issue a while back where I setup a new Legacy loco while I had another one active on the same track...it created a big problem for one of the locos where it was unresponsive and could not reset it..and after my local dealer couldn't figure it out...we ended up sending it back for replacment. Remember the manual says to only have one Legacy loco on the track during programming..
