Help identifying 2 electrical components

The top one is a Miller Engineering converter board, so that you can run signs off a transformer instead of the battery packs. I'll have to look at the directions when i get home but the red and the black are the outputs I believe, and the white wires go to the transformer. 

I dont recognize the bottom one.

The bottom two pictures appears to be a 5v power supply, taking some unknown AC voltage and providing 5v DC output.

Trying to figure out the probable max AC input voltage would take a little math.  I would limit the AC input voltage to no more than 13.2 volts AC

The bottom one is a regulator circuit, it appears to take AC in and output 5V DC.  With a 25V input capacitor, I wouldn't put more than around 12VAC on the inputs or you'll likely have a cap explosion.

The one on the heatsink is an AC to DC voltage converter (2W06 - bridge rectifier-AC in) with regulated DC output (LM2940)

I am not savvy enough to know what the white wires are used for...

Would white be AC in , red and black under the rectifier unregulated DC out and red/black on right 5v DC out?

White is obviously the AC input, it appears they have two sets of outputs.  The one on the left looks to be unregulated, right off the input bridge and filter cap.  It might be a provision to add input capacitance as the puny input cap on the board wouldn't allow for much current out of the supply.  I wouldn't be surprised if the left hand pair of wires used to go to a big filter cap mounted externally from the board.

Thank you all for identifying the components.   In my own defense I did know what they were  when I put them in the box but I seem to have more short term memory than long term memory these days.  Long term meaning a month or more.
