Hi
I am starting work on a Lionel sd60 diesel i picked up recently. See pics for engine boards and product number. Here are my questions:
1. The engine runs forward only. If power is cycled it acts like reverse is triggered with the rear headlights coming on but no motor activity. I have a new board on order with Lionel but wondered if i could troubleshoot the transistors to see if i can do a component level fix just to learn something.
2. The ditch lights and cab lights are dead. Look like tiny incandescent bulbs. I want to switch to leds. Any issue hooking up an led with resistor to the existing feeds? Resistor size?
3. I have an err sound commander to replace the horn only board. Can i use the 2 wires feeding the horn board for the sound commander? Can i use the speaker already in the tank, its nice and big?
