Help replacing a PW step

I'm looking for suggestions on a relatively easy way to replace broken off steps

from a Lionel PW 6475 Pickle vat car. I have several cars and need 8-10 steps.

Is there a ready made solution?

I suppose I could scratch build something close but if there is a plastic, brass, or resin part already made I'd just as soon use it.

It occurred to me that 3D printing the step might be possible. Does anyone know if shapeways has this item it its library?

How hard is it to actually do the design work myself if not? I have zero experience in using CAD/CAM software.
