Help with a tinplate 810 crane | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Here is pictures of the screw that holds the crane body to the frame. Anybody know where to get another one.

The end is stripped and looks to have been cut off also. If this isn't the correct screw does anybody have a source for the correct one? I'm not sure when I get the frame back from sandblasting and I paint it I will be able to get this screw and its nut back together.

I don't know off hand where to get a replacement. If it will thread loosely into place, try adding some thread lock. For a more permanent application, use JB Weld. Don't get any JB Weld on the smooth part of the screw shaft though or you will glue the part the screw is holding into place.

Tried again thou to be sure I asked him. Nope does not have it.

Try a really good hardware store. Ask for a shoulder bolt. You might have to shorten the threads or head.
