I am trying to repair a K-Line GP38 made in about 2000.

Does any one know what the purpose of this PCB is in this K-Line GP38?

It has K2400-X009R2 stamped on the PCB. I am not sure I can read the data on the resistor as it it broken.

The one I have has a resistor and cap across the main power leads.  The resistor has a dead short and is cracked open...  I can't seem to find any information on the wiring diagram, etc.

YEP.

The black resistor is blown.

I went ahead and cut the wire from the resistor to one side of the power leads (so it would not short across the input power leads).  The engine now works in command mode.  I did not try in conventional mode yet.  They had a resistor and capacitor in parallel across the power leads.  I wondering if this was done to smooth out the power over dirty track, etc.???
