I'm getting out my trains for the first time in a few years. My oil drum loader was working fine but now the motor spins and sounds normal but nothing happens. Any ideas what to do?

It’s likely the drive belt inside the motor housing. When they sit a while, the drive belt has a tendency to retain the shape as it sits around the two pulleys. It then slips as the motor spins freely.
To fix, remove the shed, then remove the motor housing. If I remember correctly, there are a a couple of screws and a couple tabs holding the motor housing together. Once you get it apart, you can either flip the drive belt inside out, or soak the drive belt in some warm water to help it flex back into a circle.
