Piggy banks are like that. Just takes awhile to fill up piggy though.
I think it took nine years to fill the first half, and about nine months to fill the second half after the kids all moved out. Interesting phenomenon. And my cars stopped getting dents in them too about that same time...

Here piggy, piggy, piggy! Come to papa nice piggy!
To be honest, I never realized how big standard gauge freight cars are. I guess I never really saw one before. The caboose is huge, and stunningly beautiful. When I saw these offered by a forum member, the timing was right, and well, it was destiny. I will post one of my not so famous videos of the guys running on my layout tomorrow on the tinplate forum. When there is enough light in my shack to display them in all their splendor. As always, onward, towards the fog.
William,
Great use of the Piggy bank, no doubt about it!

William,
Gotta watch the kids when they're little. Even more so in your senior years. You have a long way to go. It's a long story!
God Bless,

My Great Grandfather was quoted "It's not what you make... it's what you save."
When asked about the Great Depression he replied, "yes, I remember But the Panic of 1888, well... that was really something!"
In his last days of his 93rd year he said, "If I had to do it over again... I would have spent it as I made it".
Pretty contradictory huh?
It's how you look at things AT the different stages in your life.
Most of the quarters I save go into the parking meters at Rehoboth Beach, DE.
