That is some great looking stuff, there. I thought your group was modular and had to do a double take but this looks like a permanant layout.
FT's FTW! Looks like you guys had a blast. Thanks for sharing.
Christopher,
The High Plains layout is permanent. The Colorado O Scale layout is modular. The DSMR (Denver O Scale Club) is working on a modular layout.

Beautiful layout.
ThankS Santiago.
Hey Chris!
The Colorado O Scale Modelers are a mutual group of 2 rail O scalers (P-48 and O5W) from around the state and region that many also have home layouts and we are building a portable modular railroad. We do OPS sessions at one of 2-3 home layouts in our group often.
Erik - Minor question. What is the make and source of the green automobile by the country store? Looks 1938 Buick-ish, but not available at Diecast Direct in green.
Your layout rekindles youthful memories of first generation diesel powered freights I witnessed as a young person - all the while wishing they were powered by a Northern!! A good lesson: appreciate what's before you! These colorful diesels are absolutely beautiful and capture much of the drama of commerce on the move!
That's some fine model railroading!
Wow! Really, really nice ....... layout and trains!
Thanks for posting.

I believe that is a Rex Toys die cast Packard. Caboose Hobbies was selling them some years back.

The yellow cab is a 49' Checker Taxi 89A by Brooklin. The maroon car is a Goldvarg handbuilt Chevy. A common sedan is a tough find; most models are convertibles and race cars.

Thank you Jim
Thank you, Erik. Good price on the Packard! I am also drawn to '38 Buicks available at Die Cast Direct. BTW, presume you saw on "Real Trains", the Super Chief refueling, Albuquerque, NM? Just loaded with the details and atmospherics which you clearly appreciate!
I was wondering if a guy named denny manwarren was part of your club out there or if you knew him, last i heard he moved in that area, i use to know him when we both lived in chicago.

Eric, Are you sure you weren't in Sioux City showing the C&NW F units?
Dick
That first video really shows the heft and sound of O scale. All of the videos and pictures are nice!

The D&RGW cars weigh in around 5-8lbs each. The baggage and rpo without interiors obviously are around 5 lbs. Sleeper is a boat anchor.
Dick
They are fantastic and very unique models not often made. Jefferson may have? They are his locomotives
