Interesting, Murph, you chose a picture that featured numerous trains... with your work, in the background. No ego demanding center-stage(a compliment).

Besides, the enjoyable pics being featured, in this thread; there's a wee bit of competition, here. Many of the layout builder thoroughbreds are rubbing shoulders... putting their best foot forward.

BTW, there's some great pictures posted, here; Mike's(CT) and Matt's, get special acknowledgement, from me.

Good job lads,

Rick

Each of the contributors here has sent in something special. My hats off to all of you for participating in something I am enjoying so immensely.

Dennis Brennan . . . . I loved your photo so much and I loved your layout so much that I have tried to include many of those ideas in the creation of the Munoz Lines. So rarely do we see a road/highway going completely under an overpass and your scene is fabulous. Dennis' book of "How To" has become my bible. No matter how my work turns out, Dennis has been an amazing source that has turned me on to so many great modeling ideas.

There are so many craftspeople and masters contributing to this thread that it is impossible to acknowledge them all. My hobby efforts are better thanks to all of you.

This is one of my favorites

Me, too.  Seen it before and I've always loved this one . . .

Me too. There's something relaxed and peaceful about that scene, something familiar, like we have seen it before - or felt it before - in real-life somewhere, at sometime. The place has atmosphere, IMHO.

I find seeing all that available plywood acerage inspiring, and I can smell the fragrance of all that wood. It makes me want to start plopping down some track (I can hear it hitting the plywood, now) sections and pulling out some buildings. What an opportunity!
I'll bet, once you start and get your hands on that treasure, you'll keep on going and enjoy yourself.
