Hogwarts..Where are the kids and why no extras

Good questions, I'm planning on equipping my Hogwart's cars with some silhouettes since they omitted them.

There are many Harry Potter accessories online, just not by Lionel. Lionel did the Hogwarts Express, others did the accessories; each to their own manufacturing capabilities and maybe prior licensing?

Good point on the licensing, that could explain the lack of Lionel accessories.  It doesn't explain no passengers in the Hogwart's passenger cars.

Agree with comment above.  I’m  surprised we haven’t seen a lion Chief plus 2.0 set yet also.  I’ve been holding out for it.  

For standing figures, Jada Toys Harry Potter Nano Metalfigs are very close to O Scale.  Only slightly taller than Woodland Scenics figures.

Lionel actually cataloged some years back some Hogwarts figures, but they were never made.

I found the ones SteveH mentions above at WalMart several years ago.

If Lionel wants to improve the Hogwart's locomotive, put a real motor in it!  The wimpy little set motor in that one is not up to the task, the Hogwart's is a fairly heavy locomotive.  Even the smaller Polar Express set got the larger motor in recognition of the shortcomings of the small motor!

where would I get silhouettes and how do I open the cars to install them?

I did see previous posts about the weak motor and after reading about options for a better motor I thought I’m stuck because I don’t think I have the ability to upgrade  

my son said that maybe Lionel sent us a train has already dropped off the kids at school and is now returning empty to London. I’d still like silhouettes

I'm going to just look around and find some silhouettes like these.

Do the silhouettes on only one side of each car and turn train for return. You can achieve the appropriate effect for each direction.  Pat B.
