So many of us our members of clubs and we carry our trains in tub ware bins, tool boxes, or suitcases even. I pack some of my Railking steam engines and a TMCC Lionel Steamer in these cases because they fit and I can fit a caboose in the box with the loco. Do you do something with your engines completely different?

Mostly things stay at home. But I've used a briefcase on a couple short term, bad weather, travels.
Just so I could run a "carpet" layout in my hotel room at night.

Mostly mine go in original boxes unless I'm packing to go to a club meet. then towels pad cars in bins. Engines stay in the original boxes, they don't take that long to extract and I want the protection when they are bouncing around on New England roads.
