Doesn't seem to be a whole lot of excitement. 9 or so days

I'm excited, isn't that enough?
......I started packing my suitcase yesterday.......how's that for excited?
Peter
I will be heading over on Wed., 10/20. Looking forward to a bit of a break and especially to seeing old friends and supporters of the magazine, and perhaps making some new ones.
I'm going. First time.
I'm very excited for the Friday. I took the day off and am making a day trip of it.

Well, that's more like it. Let's get on the train of excitment and hear of packing (OGR Wear of course), planning & other fun stuff. Looking forward to movie night, Peter's breakfast, the welcome reception & am I missing dinner at the Quaker Steak & Lube? Looking for lights, people & vehicles. Hopefully an engine or neat cars don't grab me from the aisle. Has it been been 1 1/2 years already?
So which colored badge do I need to get in? I still have the one from the first October they canceled due to Covid.....
Also, I now live less than an hour away from York instead of nearly a 3 1/2 hour drive one way.
Are we there yet!!!

I'll be there Wednesday as well. Debating my usual popping over to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. I like going there. Always find it calming, interesting, and among the steamers. Just makes me feel good. Yeah there's diesels and electrics there, I know, I know. Just something about it.
I have to figure out what time to leave, have to pack, all that yet. First though this weekend car is getting an oil change.

Yeah, dinner at Quaker Steak is on. Alan popped a topic over there somewhere around here.
I'm plenty excited!

COME ON OGR UNIVERSE!! THE YORK MEET IS DAYS AWAY!!!
LET'S
GET
LOOOUUUUD !!!!!
Last thought of the night.
First thought of the day.
Now, where is my badge?
What ever happened to "ED""""""(I believe!) He was the official day barometer at one time. HOPE all is well.
5 more work days until my York trip. Tue, Wed, Thursday this week. Next week just Monday and Tuesday nights. I'm leaving at 11pm on the 20th for the 8 to 9 hour drive to Toy Train paradise!
Gotta be honest, I thought I'd be more excited. Could be the pile of work I have to do and the backlog I'll have when I get back.
I can't wait. Between life in general and how crazy work has been lately, I need this time with my hobby and friends.
Who's not excited? It's been two years!
Pat
I'm excited!
Leaving this Friday morning headed to the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum for their 60th Anniversary Photo-shoot Friday night and riding the train Saturday, then heading north to Work in Virginia on Monday, then arriving in York Tuesday.
Gave the wife the word last night that I am attending York for 2 days with a friend who is doing the 2.5 westbound drive to toy train mecca paradise.
Can’t wait, I need the therapy in walking and my wallet will be overstuffed needing to be emptied!
See everyone on Thursday am!

Eddie is doing well and is excited as ever for York. He just doesn't post here anymore.

That's what was missing. I did not see "the many days til York" and thought about posting this tiopic. This ones for you Eddie. You were sorely missed. That was the missing piece of the puzzle for York. Let the fun commence. Life is back to normnal. At least for a week. I look forward to meeting you guys there. My name is my handle. Don't be a stranger.

Sounds good Bryant! I plan on saying hi to anyone I see with OGR colors on.

I'm excited!

Great news in the mail last night. 2 yellow badges and my tickets for the movie night and the welcome reception. Hotel for Sunday night in Florence, SC booked and arrive York sometime on Monday. Any announcement of a presentation by Lionel, Atlas & Bachmann at the museum prior to the meet?
I can't wait. It has been a long time coming. Does anyone know if Atlas will be there?
Told myself I wouldn’t go unless I found work first. Now, I figure, I’m not working so I have plenty of time to kill. Why not? Think I might just make a day trip on my bike. That way, I can be sure I won’t buy too much. Hellgate bridge just won’t fit in a saddle bag.

No. but you could strap it to your back like a backpack.

I did once squeeze an 1115 Station into my tail bag, it just barely made it. Had to toss the box and packing (not original) in the dumpster outside the hobby store. Gotta do what you gotta do.

You're going to snub me?

The Final Countdown!!!!! OMG, so stoked today you would have thought I was a steam engine(working without coal or oil). How can that be, heck IDK. All I do know is I have some of the things crossed off my list before packing, I have to grab several things tonight before hitting the sack. Suitcase is out, got to grab badge holder(right by dining room chair right here), my badge(upstairs), TCA membership card(in the kitchen currently), some listening music for the drive(I have a few titles already in the car but need to grab some essentials maybe even Bach), and a list of don't need to buys which is as short as my buying list. Just a particular item I don't want to pick up a second time but will need that information if there was add-ons that I have to check up on. Only real other thing is clothes, lol. I may print out a few things to have but not really necessary as my usual list of print outs never left the car from 2018. Yeah, I am stoked!!!!!!

See you there Brian.
Great, Brian!
Peter
2 more days for me. I can only go on Friday but I'm still over the moon excited about York! I can't wait. Waking up at 3:30 in the morning though to leave at 4:30 is gonna be tough though lol.
In 24 hours, I should be in the Orange Hall.
On a side note, I notice the future schedule has restored the three-day format going forward... I guess they rethought the two-day format?
