Anybody get one yet?

If they are anything like my new MTH ES44AC DCS, then I suspect people ought to be quite pleased with theirs.

My cn will be here monday with my Bigboy. I know a lot of people love ups shipping but I am not one of them..
Ordered my UP today!
I saw the Iowa Interstate, and CN today at Nicholas Smith. Both were beautiful. I can't wait to get my UP's.

Any pictures of the new Lionel ES44AC's?
Regards,
Swafford
Charles Ro had mine in their possession on Monday, but like everyone else who cannot drive to a mega-dealer like them, I'm just waiting...
If it arrives today, I'll post a pic.

Ordered from Ro. I just looked and I don't see them available.
I just called and they didn't have any left. I also called on Tuesday and they said they didn't have any but they were on the website.
I ordered 2 of the CN ES44's. Can't wait to go pick them up.

Good Day,
Thanks for posting the pictures. The ES44AC is one of Lionel's best diesel locomotives!

Just got home for the night. And 2 ES44's and my big boy all at once.
I got the CSX and Ferromex. Here is the Ferromex since the CSX is posted above. I feel like I just opened up a Christmas ornament with all those colors.
Pictures are not that good (iphone) and my office is a little dark, but thought people would want to see it quickly. Try to get better pics tomorrow.

I watched a few videos tonight of the CN. The horn and the crew talk is different from previous ES44ac's. Sounds is ok but I think I like the previous sound set better.
There have been two locomotives that nearly got me kicked off the Isle of Denial -- the SD70ACe and the ES44AC. They're very nicely done. Thanks for posting the photos.
Joker,
Glad I could help out. If I didn't have 2 die cast UP Lionel units I would of definitely bought another UP version. But I am holding out for BNSF, KCS and NS.
I really like my Ferromex engine more than I thought I would. It's going to look cool mixed into my KCS units (die cast KCS ES44, SD70ace and upcoming Gray SD70mac)
Very cool engines, everyone!
And, that Ferromex is a cool different look, too!
(I'm back doing transition era, but these big modern diesels are such beasts! I like 'em)
I'm disappointed Lionel did not place the headlights in the correct positions. They just re-used the Heritage molds. Details matter when you expect to get what you've paid for.

Where did Lionel say they applied road specific details?
Thanks for the pics, NVisich. My UPs should be here tomorrow. Can't wait and compare them with the die-cast versions.

Excellent! Congrats on getting one, I don't think they made many.

This Ferromex intrigues me too. I remember when Lionel announced the new SD70ACe seven years ago, but then cancelled the Ferromex due to lack of interest.
Excellent! Congrats on getting one, I don't think they made many.

OK...the UP beautiful engine. Mine came with that orange piping lying in the wrapping. Wish these packaging guys would be more gentle.
I used CA to glue it back...seems like it just stuck there when I reformed it to fit like it wanted to be there .
So should be good.

Ok
here are better pictures of the Ferromex with my CSX next to it out in the sunlight this morning. Both are real nice but the Ferromex steals the show.

@ rduniii Why would Lionel ever say "road specific details?" It is nice to know when you purchase a locomotive for a specific railroad at least the headlight would be in the right place. I can't help looking at the new Lionel ES44s and seeing a "road specific detailed" NS Heritage under the paint. Generic detailed is more like it.
Those are very, very nice. Lionel has done a good job with the late phase ES44. I agree the Ferromex is especially striking. I saw one of those a couple of years ago operating as a DPU on the end of BNSF manifest at Emporia, Kansas.
I'm always a little reluctant to talk about things like the headlight issue unless the original thread topic invited prototype comparisons. But since it's already been brought up, I will say that it is too bad that Lionel didn't tool these to account for that and other road-specific detail variations (I see another one that hasn't been mentioned yet). In years past Lionel has done that on other models, as have MTH and Atlas. Keep reminding them, I suggest.
But these are very nice, and I hope you guys enjoy them. I saw a video on another thread, and the sounds were excellent.
