I have purchased several trains from Trainworld this year, and as is the case with many OGR sponsors, they carefully pack our items and use styrofoam popcorn for packing.
Also, Trainworld usually puts their really nice advertisement flyers in the boxes too.
I cannot tell you how many hours I have spent reading those flyers at breakfast, lunch, before bed, in the rest room LOL!
When I get done with them I usually put them back in the shipping cartons and dispose of these boxes and styrofoam.
Thus....yesterday, I had put a few Trainworld boxes on the side of my house next to the our trash cans until trash pick up day on Thursday when I put them all out.
Well, last night and this morning it has been very very very windy...bright sun and cold, but windy, and everyone in my sub-division is out walking their dogs, jogging, riding bikes, going for walk etc etc.
As my wife left for church this morning she called me when she got there, to tell me the garbage cans had fallen over and boxes were spread out on the lawn.
So as i went out there about an hour ago in my robe and slippers to put them back..... imagine the following sight!
A snow storm of thousands of white styrofoam pop corn packaging blowing thru the wind gusts along the ground and thru the air like a snow squall and about 10 Trainworld sales flyers blowing around with them!
Hopefully, some of the folks in my sub-division will pick up these Trainworld flyers as they stare in awe at my snow storm and find them interesting enough to join our hobby!
It only took one time happening to me too, to take the preventative methods
