I think you've got it! That looks fantastic. All you need now is to pop it into place, admire the view, stand back and discover... that you want to do another section!
Thanks Bob. Yes that is just the right corner. Now the left side will hopefully be a tunnel. Thank you for all your advice.
I'd just like to chime in here and thank all of you that contributed to this thread. I'm a total newbie so didn't have anything to contribute, but I really enjoyed this. This thread turned into a really great tutorial, complete with step-by-step photos, and I learned a lot. I'm at the bare trees stage and this gives me the courage to get in there with the ground cover. Also wonderful to follow a thread where everyone was helpful and it didn't end in an ego flame-out like so many do. Thanks guys.

Don,
Looks like you hit that one outta the park!!!
See it wasn't that hard just ask Jim after you do it 2 or 3 hundred times it gets a little easier LOL (Just Kidding)
It looks really great and will be a wonderful addition to your layout I'm sure.
The best part is you can look at it 6 months from now- smile and know you did that yourself.

Thanks again for the help and kind comments. I got the mountain in place but had to cut some of the rocks and move the track as there was not enough room on the left side. I still cannot get the Schnabel on that track. Wish the plumbing was not there but it is an old house.

I had a chance to go see it in person and it looks great! As a "green felt" layout guy, I continue to be impressed by the artistic talent and support on the forum....

Don,
Reminds me of the day my MTH Centipedes arrived! In my case, the Centipedes lost and moved on to a friend's layout. After all, they frown on blasting in Red Rock National Park.
That hillside really came out great. Congrats!
Jim
Thanks Jim. You got me started.
I finally got to start the second mountain which is a two track tunnel. This is in the opposite corner where the original mountain is located.
