I was looking at my new Menards boxcar l bought about a month ago and I took it out of the package this morning and as l took it out one of the trucks fell off. Is there a way to fix it. I was able to click it back on but fell right off again.

Take the 4 screws out in the corners and with the body off you should find a c-clip that fell off. Look at the one still attached and attach the truck c- clip the same way on the truck that fell off.

Thanks Dave I'll take a look at it after I get off work tonight
Isn't that a rivet?
Trucks on a lot of their cars are rivets. I used a small nut and screw to fix a hopper.
Looks like the rivet broke. Like Chuck said, use a nut and screw to repair the truck. Good luck, and keep us posted!

I use a truck rivet to fix them, but I'm spoiled.
Menards would also be likely to make an exchange, if you prefer. If so, start with an email to guest@menard-inc.com.
Could loose truck rivets result in the box cars leaning on curves? I have two Menard's Army boxcars that lean lean like trees in the wind. Anyone else seeing this?
That's likely.

Yes I had a couple cars with this. The cars had too much space between the trucks and the metal bottom of the car. I shimmed it up with a bendable Christmas ornament hook. There are probably better ways to shim but it’s been working fine.
