I admire your courage and I look forward to seeing photos of the progress that you and your son will be making on your layout.  I'm a severely disabled Veteran, but you have had to overcome so much more than I could ever imagine.  I'm running a 6' x 12' Carpet Layout in my room here at the Veterans Home and I'm thankful that the staff really goes that extra mile in helping us to find and enjoy not just one, but many Hobbies.  You will really enjoy building a layout with you son, remembering that this is a lifelong Hobby.  I'm really happy for you and your son.  Good luck.

Art's layout is spectacular and worth seeing. Yes, he has a lot of detail work left, but a visit to his layout is always memorable.

Art and Jim are two of the good guys on the Forum. Glad you had a chance to meet them and I sure hope your health improves. Art mentioned to me that you were going to visit and I am glad it worked for you.

Scot - I enjoyed you and your son's visit this afternoon and am glad that you could make it. Thanks for all your your kind words. As others have said, with everything that you have been through I am very impressed with your attitude and strength.

to start building your layout Art's layout is the one. It's a beautiful layout and

a beautiful layout room from the photo's and video's Ive seen. I see you have

been through a lot with health problem's and I admire you for wanting to start

your own layout. I say go for it,  take your time,  and I'm quite sure if you need

any motivation or guidance everyone including me on this forum will be glad

Hello Alex yes chugmans layout is one that inspires you.  And yes I've been Thu a lot in the past year and a half. I have all the track and transformers I need to get things started and most of the lumber.Now its time to start working on building it and cleaning the space that I have planed to build in.I know things are going to be tough in the beginning but i will get it done.And I would like to thank you  for the encouragement
