I joined the forum in 2015, but due to health issues and financial problems, I've been absent.

While my health continues to be an issue, I now have access to the internet thanks to a friend.

My financial situation is the same, just going day by day.

I did get lucky and get a lot of free train stuff. So with the help of my father, we're finally going to start on a decent layout. I'll talk more about that later. Right now I just wanted to say hi to everyone and l hope you are all well. I know this year has been rough so far and I wish you all health and happiness.

I'd also like to add that one of the free trains my friend gave me was a 2020 Lionel turbine! I was really excited, but it's turned into a money pit. For what I've spent in parts, I could have bought a nice 681. If the new motor ever arrives, I will basically have a new train (fingers crossed).

I'll probably be needing some layout and transformer advice, but that can wait for now.

Welcome back to the OGR Forum Adam!    This forum is the place to be for train lovers!   Wishing you every success with your new layout .... and do keep us posted with your progress.

Btw- the MTH version of the Pennsy steam turbine was the first locomotive I purchased ( used ) when I got back into the hobby 17 years ago.  I had wanted that loco ever since I saw it in the Lionel cat. when I was a young kid in elementary school.  Got to love that locomotive!  Wishing you endless fun with yours!
