I Never Would Have Thought: RBP Trains ES44

Chris- that's a beautiful engine. Not the period I model, but I can appreciate beauty when I see it.

A big shout out to Ken and Trainworld too. I've been shopping there since my dad took me to the Lynbrook store shortly after they opened. A great store with great people.
Thank you for your enthusiasm for the hobby and the time you dedicate to your layout and Youtube channel.

Keep it up. All of us old(er) farts need more guys like you to keep the hobby going.

I also enjoyed your Pet Shop Express video - my Granddaughter runs hers here on my layout when she visits - great fun - I actually have a little pet shop on the layout now with a shrunken picture of my Grandpuppy in front of it!

Red is my favorite color, and the Katy is also one of my favorite road names along with many others, (unfortunately for the wallet) Keep up the great work.

Nice looking engine, for a diesel Chris. Glad that this was able to happen for you. I love steam engines, and I wouldn't even know what I would try to have as a run from Trainworld or anyone else. Good deal, eh?

In the current environment, you, and other “influencers” are so important to keep the heart of this hobby supplied with new blood. I applaud your efforts, and those others on OGR and youtube. Quite the milestone for you, and Eric, to have trains produced with your substantial input. Congratulations!

Chris, you continue to inspire us and your special run is well deserved. We are working on our new trainboard and posting to our new youtube channel, learning photography, video editing, sound equipment, and lighting. We watch every new video you create. So thankful for you guys--Rj, country bunker, seans trains, Norm C, Markulin, Boomer Dioramas, Mouldly rasberry. Much success and much happiness sent to all of you. Perhaps someday we can share our work and share the fun in a like manner. Ryan and Gary.

Even though the colors didn't exactly match what was initially published by Lionel, this engine still looks great! It would have been over the top if they could have had Chris custom record some of the Tower Com and/or Crew Talk, I'm sure it would have been an instant sell-out!

@H1000, Chris doing crew talk, what would that be like? (Poses like Chris considering the possibilities). Is that even a thing? That is I mean posing like Chris maybe grabbing scruff on chin or looking to upper left while talking about it. Yeah, that would be very interesting indeed. Heck, I would probably consider buying one if Chris did the crew talk.

It's remarkable and great that the new era of model trains includes dealers/manufacturers willing to do these special runs and hobbyists who are leveraging the web to educate and entertain.  Thanks Chris.
