All:
In the 1950s and 1960s many office buildings didn't have central airconditioning. Instead, you would see individual a/c units in windows. I have searched about half of the scenery sourcelist without result.
I'm wondering if you know of any?

George, The window AC unit is a simple shape...I suggest you make some of them from some bits of wood and painting them an appropriate color. Nice scratch building project.

Have you tried Home Depot or Lowes? (not sure if they carry 1:48) 
I make all mine from fine-grained wood - basswood, poplar, etc. Generally run off a set of a dozen, prime, sand, and paint them, then use pencil to make the grating and I weather them a bit. Works well

Yeah, they have them. I just can't find any 1:48 figures with funny hats to put them in my car!
