BALIDAS  thanks for the clarifying that all I do is connect the 24 pin connector from power supply.

STRAPHANGER  well more like the fine knowledgeable folks here took me by hand and showed me the proper steps is much appreciated.

now out of curiosity would this power supply/on to common jumper be used by all pc power supplies?

I also found it strange that inside the box of power supply I purchased not one piece of paperwork of instructions or a diagram of the connectors pinouts and box was wrapped in shrink wrap and going to manufacturers website this power supply wasn't even listed.

hope to have the board from amazon by weeks end unless they fool me this time as delivery date of last order placed they delivered item 3 days after order placed. this will rid me of individual ac/dc adaptors around the layout and with this board a fused backup for those oh oh moments too.

but now will need to run some more wires to connect to all signals and led's for passenger station and its passenger platform from the new power supply distribution board.

this power supply is rated at 300 watts will assume its sustained output will be lower maybe around 250 watts or? and what is a -12 volt mean?

Thanks guys for reviving this post, absolutely a ton of info in it for me.  Went to the boneyard and disassembled a dead hp invent unit and pulled the PS.  The model # is TFX0220D5WA   REV. A01    With the P1 being a 24pin connector.  I'm comfortable using this PS but wanted your OK. Thanks, If yes, I'm off to the internet.
