Hello. I am a new member. I just joined yesterday. I am not new to model trains, but I am to O scale. I have quite a few lionel legacy engines, mostly diesel but a few steamers. I just purchased a lionel es44ac UP BSA 2010. Its a nice engine, but I noticed that the wheels seem sluggish to operate at slow speed. Also, and this is maybe a pet peeve, but as I lightly handle the engine when picking it up out of the box, I noticed that the engine shell, which is die cast makes a "creaking" noise, almost as if the shell is flimsy. Is this anything to worry about, or is this normal with many of your ES44s? Thanks.
