I would love it if Scott Mann would produce a run of this engine....
N de M as delivered

I emailed Scott and he instructed me to find 9 friends equally excited to purchase this engine.  So that is what I am doing.  I created a thread on the Hi Rail-O27 forum and I am creating one here too.  If you are interested please post here or email me at time4trains@live.com

thank you

As I posted in the other thread, I would buy a set.  I would buy an A unit plus a B unit in this paint scheme, which is the as-delivered scheme in use until the early 1960's.  That is a really nice looking paint scheme when viewed up close.  And as far as I know, it has not been done by any US based manufacturer.  They were done in Mexico in die cast in the 1950's or 1960's, which is the model shown in the photo.  An ABA set of those models recently sold on that auction website for nearly $8,000 for the 3 units!

Great!  I will order one A unit and one B unit in 3 rail.  I will send you an e-mail when I get back home after Christmas (I am having some unexplained e-mail issues on my phone right now).

Scott has placed the N de M F units on his web site!  Here is the link to make your reservations!  The approximate deadline to place a reservation is February.  We have a bit of time to find reference images and information.  To oder the N de M F units please reserve them on the 3rd Rail web site.  If you want to contribute information about these engines please email me at time4trains@live.com  I will share a google folder with the images we have collected thus far and keep you in the loop with emails as information becomes available.

thank you

UPDATE:  The N de M F unit project has met the minimum number and will be produced.  If you were holding out to see if these engines were going to be made then now is the time to order!  Thanks to everyone that preordered!  If you were waiting to see please order now before Scott closes the ordering window!!!
