That's true for the CB&Q but on the Colorado & Southern there were both sides identical. Due to a lack of Zephyrs I presume.

OK, interesting. However, I would still like to see some photos of the prototype, as I always thought the Burlington had the two different scrips on virtually all their rolling stock and appropriate diesel units.

Sarah - brilliant work as usual. I can't imagine what the melted plastic comment was all about. I think the car is superb. Way above my skill level.
The paint chipping looks great. All around fantastic looking model.

From what I can determine from the CB&Q Historical Society data sheet for the 55 ton hoppers, "Everywhere West " was also applied to both sides of CB&Q cars.

I personally like the Athearn trucks better because the equalize and handle rough track better. If you don't like Delrin (engineering plastic) wheels that come with the trucks, you can replace them with IM metal wheels.
I don't know what comes with that kit, but IM plastic trucks work pretty well too if you replace the wheelsets with some with Metal axles.
