Hello everyone.

Just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. My name is Chuck and I am from the Pittsburgh PA. area. I joined on Sept 7, 2013

I want  to say that this is a GREAT site to be a part of and the wealth of information that can be found on here is fantastic.

About 2 years ago I was going through some boxes I stored away after cleaning out my mom's house after her death. What I found in a few of those old boxes was my first train set as a child, a Lionel mighty sound of steam train set along with some old track, transformers and some old buildings. Remembering how excited I was as a kid when my dad would set it up at Christmas. The painted green sheet of plywood, some buildings, and a strain of Christmas tree lights around it while some were used to light up the buildings. Well, I couldn't contain myself. Off to Lowes I went and picked up a sheet of plywood and come back home and set up the old track. After a good cleaning of the track I pulled out the old locomotive and cleaned her up. Before I knew it, cab#8142 was once again steaming around the track. Everything worked the way it did when I was a kid. I was once again HOOKED!

Now 2 years later, I have over 16 locomotives and about 100 pieces of rolling stock. I mostly have articulated steam locomotives with the Pennsy theme in mind. Yes, I am a train addict. I am still using my 4x8 sheet of plywood right now but plans are under way to start my first layout. And I'm planning BIG! With that in mind, I am sure I will be on here seeking advice and answers to questions. Thank you all in advance.

Sincerely
