Yes I did when I first got my laptop. I even tried running it in XP mode through Windows 7. The PC came with a program for such things, even had a friend who is realy good with windows and could not make it run. This download you are referring to, is this something new from Microsoft? My laptop is about 2 years old, so maybe this is something new! I just hate the thought of having to reenter several hundred items again.

No it has been around since Vista came out. I use a database oriented programming language that will not run in Win7 64 bit mode. I installed the XP mode and the program thinks it's running on an XP computer. An in fact it actually is. You can only get and use this if you have Vista Pro or Win 7 Pro and above. It is not available for home. It interfaces nicely with 7 so you can have an icon on the desktop to click on and it will bring up XP and the program. Check it out here: http://www.microsoft.com/windo...ual-pc/download.aspx
