Got a nice #258 and tender recently knowing it had some issues. Got it home and started in on it but pretty quickly figured this thing has a sorted past, mix of new and old but hey aint complaining yet....the main problem is the fiber gears. Need experts eyes on this to id the motor and the gear part number. Have tried Olsen's but their website isn't working for me at all. Have tried looking for drawings on line too and a no go. The brush holder studs were soldered on the motor frame at some point in time, whoever did it, did a good job but makes me wonder if its a homegrown hybrid??

The fiber gears if I counted and measured correctly -= 43 teeth and 15/16" O.D.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

John
